Mira 900 Laser

Description

The Mira 900 is a femtosecond 800 nm pulsed Ti:Sapphire laser, pumped by a V18 diode laser (see above). The laser is used to pump and OPO system (see above) which is then used for communications wavelength excitation of novel semiconductor materials for THz spectroscopy. The Mira is also used to generate THz for transmission time-domain spectroscopy through a 1.2 K Helium cooled cryostat (Spectromag, see below) for the high frequency (0.1 - 3.0 THz) study of semiconductor properties in high magnetic fields.
